State Representative Winfield C. Moses was first elected to the Indiana House of Representatives in 1992. He represents the citizens of Indiana House District 81 at the Statehouse in Indianapolis whenever the State Legislature—the General Assembly—is in session.
Prior to his service in the Indiana House of Representatives, Win had served as Mayor of Fort Wayne from 1980 to 1987, and as a member of the Fort Wayne City Council from 1971 to 1979.
State Rep. Moses is founding chairman of the Citizens Action Coalition and has been involved with the Washington House Treatment Center. Win has also served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention several times since 1980.
Among the recognitions and awards Rep. Moses has received are: Indiana Consumer Advocate of the Year, United Senior Action Legislator of the Year, and 1993 Outstanding Freshman Legislator. He also received the Leadership Award from the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns.
Win is a member of the NAACP, the Rotary Club, the Urban League, and the Indiana University Alumni Association.
State Rep. Moses earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from Indiana University. He was awarded an Honorary Ph.D. from the Indiana Institute of Technology. Win is also a graduate of Fort Wayne South Side High School.
State Rep. Moses is a builder and small businessman, associated with The Village of North Oak.
